Luceor SAS develops and markets disruptive wireless “mesh” network solutions for the public safety market. The company’s technology, stemming from military research, is based on an open Internet standard (validated by the French, US military and NATO) that enables wireless equipment to be connected hop by hop in a dynamic, instantaneous and optimized way without any central hierarchy constituting a netlike structure hence the name “mesh”.

Mesh networks are self configuring, self healing and self tuned for simple, instant and cost effective wireless communications. Luceor R&D is built around cooperative relationships with two majors industry labs : INRIA (Hipercom project) & Telecom Paris.

Luceor’s solution is particularly suitable for video surveillance and monitoring, perimeter and border security and in hostile environments where customers require a rapid and simple deployment, highly flexible network coverage, a high-level of tolerance to failures and interferences and service continuity on the move. LUCEOR solutions significantly reduce capital expenditure (CAPEX), setting up and operating costs (OPEX).The total cost of ownership of deploying Luceor’s solutions is optimized, for instance, approximately 4 times cheaper than a comparable wired SDSL solution, which in any case would lack the same level of flexibility, robustness, throughput and mobility.

Since its foundation in 2005 the company has continued to attract a growing number of clients including : RAID (France’s National Police Intervention Unit), where Luceor provided a wireless communication solution for critical operational environments; the Lyon Subway, where Luceor’s solution transmits real-time video surveillance data on mobile security agents terminals ; and Sarthe housing estate, where Luceor’s technology provides private video surveillance.

Other partners include THALES, INEO (SUEZ° (joint pilot presented in INEO stand at MILIPOL (15th Worldwide exhibition of internal State security, 9-12 Oct. 2007), Siemens Transportation Systems for video surveillance with fast mobility and an equipment manufacturer with a main international operator for indoor IP coverage extension, leveraging the mesh dual applications.
