Luceor

LUCEOR is leading the industry with new patented innovations in wireless mesh network solutions : self-configuring, self-fixing and self-tuned mesh networks for simple, instant and cost effective wireless communications.

LUCEOR chose to use OLSR mesh protocol (international standard - RFC 3626) and adds to it complementary functionalities. This protocol was developed by INRIA [1] (HIPERCOM project) within the IETF [2]. LUCEOR is in partnership with INFRES, a TELECOM Paris [3] Laboratory. LUCEOR was coached by and hosted at TELECOM Paris incubator from April 2004 up to end 2005.

Luceor was founded in 2005 and got its first clients commitments last year, accelerating in 2006; the most recent being with the RAID (National Police Intervention Unit) in real and critical operational environment. Before Luceor focusing on the homeland security market, the DIACT Agency [4], linked directly to the French Prime Minister, agreed in March 2005 to finance a project providing broadband network access to rural and urban areas in Picardie using a mix of WiMax and WiFi-Mesh technologies with the participation of LUCEOR. The DIACT Agency agreed in December 2005 to finance a video protection project in social residences with a mix of power line communications and Mesh solutions.

Other projects are undertaken, for instance, with Siemens related to fast mobility and videosurveillance. and with systems integrators for videosurveillance on large sites with cabling, cost or time constraints.

LUCEOR’s ambition is to assert itself as European leader in the homeland security market, to hold a significant share of the EMEA market, and to continue its international deployment.
